Women Empowerment.
Recognising that skilled, fairly paid women artisans produce the finest craft, we prioritise female employment, training, and career progression at every level of our workshop.
From mountain fibre to your finest collection.
Ethics & Sustainability
At Rita Industries, ethics isn't a policy document — it's built into how we source, who we employ, and how we work every day.
Rooted in Nepal's craft heritage.
Our People
80% women — by design, not by chance.
Over 80% of our 100+ artisans are women. We pay fair wages above Nepal's textile sector average, provide structured skills training, and offer stable long-term employment. This is the foundation of what we make.
Built on craft traditions
Our weavers, spinners, dyers, and finishing specialists have trained directly under master craftspeople — carrying forward Nepal's centuries-old textile heritage through every product we make.
Our Commitment
Women Empowerment.
Recognising that skilled, fairly paid women artisans produce the finest craft, we prioritise female employment, training, and career progression at every level of our workshop.
AZO-Free, REACH–Compliant Dyes.
All dyes are tested for harmful azo compound absence. REACH-compliant synthetics are used as standard, with natural dye options available for clients who require them.
Design Confidentiality.
We have never shared a client's designs in over 20 years. Every specification is treated as strictly confidential. A formal NDA is available on request for clients requiring additional legal protection.
Transparency & Audit Readiness.
We welcome buyer audits with advance notice. GoodWeave-certified, BSCI/Sedex compliant, and ISO quality-managed. Pre-shipment photo reports shared with every order.
Minimal Waste Production.
Pashmina and carpet fibre offcuts are repurposed into our Felt line. We treat wash water on-site and continuously review our production cycle to reduce environmental impact.
From fibre to finish — every material decision is traced and tested.
Not one, but many values have been woven together to form Rita Industries. From the hand-combed Pashmina fibres of the Himalayan plateau to the dignified work of our women artisans in Kathmandu; the common thread through it all has always been craft done with integrity.

Export-ready documentation for EU and USA
markets included as standard.
Every Rita Industries shipment to EU destinations includes a full compliance documentation pack as standard — no chasing, no delays. We prepare GPSR product safety declarations, EU Textile Labelling fibre content and care labels (including Pashmina and cashmere blend disclosure), REACH chemical safety compliance statements, and AZO dye absence certifications per dye lot. For UK-bound shipments, equivalent post-Brexit documentation is prepared. Buyers receive everything they need to clear customs and place product on shelves without additional back-and-forth.
For North American buyers, we handle the full documentation stack from our end. Every shipment includes CPSC product safety compliance records, FTC Textile Act fibre content labelling (including the FTC cashmere content rule — minimum 75% cashmere required for a cashmire claim, which applies directly to Pashmina product labelling), "Made in Nepal" country of origin declarations, and a complete customs pack: HS codes, commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin. Buyers receive everything they need to clear customs and place product on shelves without additional back-and-forth.
